New Parent Education: More Than a Newborn Class

Bringing home a baby comes with a lot of questions.
How do you swaddle? How often should your newborn eat? What does a normal newborn day actually look like? Which baby gear do you really need? And how do you set up your home so those first few weeks feel a little easier?
Hospital newborn classes can be a helpful introduction to the basics. But they’re designed for a room full of families, which means they can’t be tailored to your baby, your home, or your specific questions.
That’s where personalized new parent education comes in.
Personalized, In-Home New Parent Education
At Fourth Support Colorado, our new parent education is designed for families who want to learn the skills and build confidence without committing to ongoing daytime or overnight care.
Rather than a traditional group class, education happens in your home, with hands-on teaching and real-time coaching tailored to your family. We focus on the areas where you want more guidance, whether that’s before your baby arrives or during those first weeks at home.

How Is It Different From a Hospital Newborn Class?
The biggest difference is personalization and hands-on support.
A hospital class has to cover information that applies broadly to new parents. Our sessions start with your questions and your family’s needs.
Because we come to your home, we can make the education practical. We can look at your nursery, talk through the baby gear you’ve purchased, practice newborn care skills, and help you think through how your days and nights might actually work.
You’re not just learning about newborn care. You’re practicing it with someone there to guide you.
Education Without Ongoing Postpartum Care
New parent education is a great fit for families who want experienced guidance but don’t need or aren’t ready to invest in ongoing postpartum or overnight support.
You may have family nearby, plan to manage nights on your own, or simply want to feel more prepared before your baby arrives. Our education packages give you a way to get personalized, professional support without signing up for ongoing caregiving.
We offer three levels of support, from a foundational package with one in-home session, a virtual follow-up, and one week of text support to more comprehensive options with additional in-home education, virtual check-ins, and extended text support.

Feel Prepared for Your Baby, Not Just a Class
You don’t need to know everything before your baby arrives.
You just deserve the opportunity to practice, ask questions, prepare your home, and feel confident about those first days together.
Fourth Support Colorado’s New Parent Education is personalized, hands-on, and designed around your family — not a generic curriculum.
